RD Map™ is the free Map&Share™ Android app which supports Radiodetection’s Bluetooth Precision locators and allows locator technicians to create detailed maps of buried utilities and share them directly from the field*.

RD Map uses Google Maps to create detailed maps of sub-surface utilities . Utilities are imported to Google Maps using markers and utility tracks identified using standard coloring.

Simple to use measurement tools allow the operator to correct any GPS inaccuracy immediately.

For situations where very high accuracy position measurements are needed RD Map can be set to utilise a
compatible Bluetooth GPS/GNSS receiver.

Use Power Filters™ to pinpoint and discriminate between power cables

When a signal transmitter can’t be connected, tracing individual underground power lines through complex networks can be a real challenge: conflicting or powerful signals can confuse the operator, or combine to create a broad wash of signal.

With a single key press you can now utilize the harmonic properties of power signals to establish if a signal comes from one source, or from multiple cables, then trace and mark their routes.

Trace high impedance utilities with 4 kHz (supports CD)

The 4 kHz locate frequency is designed for tracing high impedance lines such as twisted pair telecoms or street lighting. Since such utilities are often found in areas of dense infrastructure, you can combine 4 kHz with CD to ensure you follow the right line.

Quickly follow lines with Guidance Mode

Guidance Mode allows you to rapidly follow the path of a buried utility. Intuitive proportional arrows, a directional ‘needle’ and differentiated audio tones guide you along the target pipe or cable.

Current Direction (CD)

Combine accuracy with speed – Peak+ mode

Combine the accuracy of Peak locating with the rapid ground coverage of Guidance arrows in the new Peak+ mode. A single key press lets you check for distortion by comparing Null with Peak.

Peak mode locating is more accurate and less prone to distortion - that's why it's always been at the heart of Radiodetection's cable and pipe locators. Null mode locating can be faster, but is inherently less accurate. Peak+ combined these modes, giving the accuracy of Peak and the speed of null.

RD Map™ app

RD Map™ uses Bluetooth to create, in real time*, detailed maps of buried utilities: each survey measurement parameter is appended to the GPS positional information obtained by the locator, external or Android device to map the route of the tracked utility. Map files (CSV or KML) can then be shared via e-mail or any compatible messaging system.

The RD7200 - Accurate locating across multiple industries

Construction

Accurate and simple to use, the RD7200 comes with eight active and three passive frequencies that cover the majority of site locating tasks. A rugged, IP65 rated casing along with a high contrast screen make it suitable for use in all weather conditions.

Power

In complex power environments, with multiple signals from high voltage equipment and cables, Radiodetection’s Dynamic Overload Protection reduces the effect of interference and Power Filters can be used to trace a single target line amongst multiple cables.

Water and Pipeline:

A wide choice of active frequencies allow conductive pipes to be traced for long distances.

Where sondes or cameras are used to survey pipes made from a variety of materials (including cast iron, clay, fiber, concrete and brick) the four RD7200 sonde frequencies are ideal for quickly locating and tracing their position.

Pipes with Cathodic Protection System can be followed using the CPS passive mode. CPS compass mode ensures alignment with the target pipeline.

Telecom

TheRD7200 features higher frequencies to locate high impedance lines and sonde frequencies for duct and conduit tracing. Higher frequencies can also be used to trace sheathed domestic cables without grounding connections.

Based on a fully digital platform, the Tx family of signal transmitters has been designed to complement Radiodetection’s advanced high-precision cable and pipe locators including the RD8200 and Marker Locator ranges

The Tx range is designed to meet the demands of tracing utilities through today’s complex underground infrastructure. The Tx-5 has a medium power and induction capability as well as Fault-Find. The Tx-10 has the highest power capability with both Fault-Find and CD modes as standard.

The transmitter range features locate frequencies compatible with locators across the Radiodetection Precision Locator ranges, and can be easily customized to match your chosen locator using the ‘model’ feature.
