Sensors & Software Inc., part of Radiodetection, introduces the latest Noggin® Ground Penetrating Radar system, now equipped with SplitView™, an advanced data visualization capability previously only available on our LMX® systems.

SplitView is designed to display a real-time cross-section of GPR data alongside a map view of survey paths and user-added interpretations, helping operators more clearly understand subsurface responses in relation to their position. By combining these views on a single screen, SplitView improves situational awareness in the field and supports more confident, efficient interpretations.

Designed for applications including utility locating, archaeology, forensics, and geotechnical investigations, SplitView makes it easier to recognize spatial patterns and linear features that indicate buried targets. Interpretations added during data collection are instantly reflected on the map view, helping to reduce uncertainty and streamline field workflows.

The Noggin platform is highly adaptable, offering multiple deployment configurations (SmartCart ™, SmartTow ™, SmartHandle ™, SmartSled ™, and SmartChariot ™) to support a wide range of terrain and project needs. A broad selection of antenna frequencies — from 100 MHz for deeper, larger targets to 1000 MHz for near-surface detail — allows operators to better tailor the system to their application requirements.

All new Noggins ship with the DVL-502 Digital Video Logger with SplitView support. SplitView requires an external GNSS, such as the plug-and-play GPR-SG accessory. Existing users can contact Sensors & Software for upgrade options.

Together, these enhancements deliver a modern, adaptable GPR platform designed to support efficient data collection and clearer subsurface interpretation.
