Specialised locating in a familiar C.A.T format

Radiodetection is pleased to announce the availability of SuperCAT4+, a range of locators and transmitters designed to find specific utilities, based on the familiar C.A.T design.

Underground utility infrastructures are becoming more dense and complex, making locating and tracing an individual asset more difficult. However, training teams to use unfamiliar precision locators can be time-demanding and costly. The SuperCAT4+ range of locators and transmitters provide a selection of passive, active and sonde frequencies designed to target specific industry assets. Using Radiodetection’s familiar C.A.T controls and display, minimal retraining is required.

Each SuperCAT4+ model has been designed to meet the needs of a specific industry:

SuperCAT4+CPS is optimized for metal pipes that use rectified currents as part of their Cathodic Protection System. The CPS signal can be located and traced without the need to apply an additional transmitter signal to the pipeline.

For detecting and tracing buried water and drain pipes, the SuperCAT+S model locates a wide range of sonde frequencies. Lower frequency sondes can be used to trace deep pipes, while higher frequency sondes can be easier to distinguish in electronically noisy environments.

The SuperCAT4+ is a multi-frequency locator with transmitter options for high-impedance telecom lines or long range locating of lower resistance cables such as power lines.

Features such as Dynamic Overload Protection, StrikeAlert™ and TruDepth™ are included on all models to aid safe working practices. Accessories include signal clamps, live plug and cable connectors, and sonde and rod options allowing users to connect more to find more.

The SuperCAT4+ range is available to order now from Radiodetection.
